FAQ
What if I’ve never done coaching before?
That’s okay! These sessions are designed to meet you exactly where you are, no experience needed.
Will this help even if I’ve been in pain for years?
Yes. Persistent pain is deeply influenced by how safe your nervous system feels. Change is always possible—no matter how long it’s been.
I’m scared to feel—what if it makes the pain worse?
I understand that fear! You have avoided it this long because of it… but how is that working so far for you? I won’t ask you to dive in head first, but I will encourage you to dip a toe. When a flare occurs (and they will because your beautiful and frustrating nervous system is working hard to protect you and we are coming in to challenge these patterns that aren’t working) we will go gently, and you stay in control the whole time. You set the pace and I’m here to coach you through it. You’re not alone in this.
Do I need a diagnosis to work with you?
No. I focus on your lived experience, not labels. With or without a diagnosis, coaching will still be the same with me.
Will this “fix” my pain?
I don’t and can’t promise quick fixes, the nervous system doesn’t work that way. My work will help you understand your pain, feel safer in your body, and reduce the intensity & frequency over time.
What’s the difference between this and physio/chiro/massage?
Those methods focus on treating the body mechanically. I address the why behind persistent pain by working with your nervous system, the feelings and emotions that come up due to the pain experience, and challenging current thoughts and beliefs you hold about your pain.
